Don’t Waste Your Money or Your Time #152
Today was refreshing. During a meeting with a new client, one of the team members stated to the rest of the leadership team, “I don’t want to do this if we’re going to treat it like a program. It’s a lifestyle change, and we’re either in and doing it as a way of business or we shouldn’t begin.”
He looked at me and said, “Have I got that right?” I replied, “I couldn’t have said it any better.“
He then told the story of visiting another company where, while on a tour, he remarked to the CEO, “You appear to be doing the XYZ program really well.” The CEO replied, “No, we don’t do the XYZ program; it is our culture. It’s how we do things. It’s not a program; it’s a way of doing business.”
And that’s the point. Don Tinney said it best at our recent Implementer meeting (QCE) in Detroit: “If you’re not passionate about your business or you don’t want something bigger, better, and brighter for you and your team, don’t waste your money on EOS or your time with me.”
