Vacation. It’s been a lost art for me until this week.
We’re on our first vacation in two years and it’s clear to me I’ve lost some skills to do it with ease.
As I awakened this morning, a wonderful realization hit my psyche. I don’t have to be anywhere any time soon. What a concept!
I’m a morning person, so this is my time to rise and take charge of the day. It’s a foreign thought most days. Especially during the pandemic.
One of the many gifts of this period has been rest.
Beginning a vacation rested is a new thing for me as is my appreciation for slowing down.
I’m more present, it’s richer and easier.
I packed more, though I’m lighter.
