Shared By All #1196

by Sue Hawkes

Have you ever wondered what makes some companies more successful than others? I encounter this question often in my work with our clients. One of the strongest success factors to thrive in business is when your company vision becomes shared by all.

Of course, having a vision for your company is critical, but having your vision shared by everyone in the company is what makes it happen exponentially. This means creating a shared understanding and alignment throughout your organization, ensuring that everyone’s on the same page with exactly where you’re going and how you’re going to get there.

Please realize, shared BY all is not the same as shared WITH all. Announcing your company vision once a year – even once a quarter – is not enough. You must paint a compelling picture for your staff, sharing the vision of what the company will look, sound, and feel like, now and into the future. It’s only when they see how their role fits into the future vision that you catalyze what’s possible with your team. It transforms your culture into a community where every team member understands the organization’s vision, values, future and moves onto the path to realize it together.

If you’re thinking to yourself, “wow, we’ve got a lot of work to do,” you’re not alone. Begin with one conversation at a time and learn my best practices for having your vision shared by all on this week’s episode of the EOS “Strong in Six” podcast. Listen here. It will be the best use of 15 minutes (or less) you spend learning today.

If you enjoy it, please share and tune it to last season to hear from the experts – our clients!
