Overcoming Friction #1397

by Sue Hawkes

Have you ever felt what seems like relentless friction in your life?

That discomfort is a sign you’re hitting the ceiling. It’s easy to view friction as a nuisance, but what if you saw it as a powerful catalyst for growth?

When it feels like an overwhelming number of things are challenging, it pushes you beyond your comfort zone, challenges your limits, and makes you evaluate what’s happening and how you are doing things. It actually fuels innovation, growth, and personal development. To thrive, you need to embrace friction with courage and determination.

That’s easier said than done.

When you use friction to reflect, learn, and adapt, it reveals new potential and uncovers possibilities beyond your current limitations.

Great achievers don’t let friction deter them. They use it to transcend limitations and grow. When you feel friction, remember it’s a sign to reevaluate and adjust. Doing the same thing more often or working harder at it will no longer work.

Friction is not to be feared or avoided; it’s a clear indicator that you’re hitting the ceiling. Use it as a traffic signal encouraging you to go another direction.

By embracing the discomfort, it will lead to growth and progress.

The obstacle truly is the way.
