You owe yourself one hour a day of self-maintenance. It can include reading, writing, yoga, exercise, dancing, meditation, painting, or whatever, but you owe it to yourself. One hour, 1/24 of your day.
That’s less than 5%.
It matters, it really does. Make it count.
At one point in my life, I read this and yet I still couldn’t find an hour. I lowered the bar and began with 10 minutes.
When I established a pattern of 10 minutes for most days, for several weeks, I increased it – but not before I had a habit of success.
Too often, we set ourselves up for failure because we use an arbitrary number based on someone else’s measure of success which sounds plausible.
It might not be for you.
