Either Way #1054

by Sue Hawkes

At an onsite manager session at one of our incredible clients, Aggressive Hydraulics, the leadership team began the day refreshing their skills around leadership and management as well.

One of the resources they shared during our discussions about leadership was from The Winners Minute, which offered a great set of questions for us all to reflect upon as we enter into the final month of our first quarter.

“The first two months of a new year are behind us. Now would be a good time for you to stop and ask yourself some hard questions, such as: ‘What have I accomplished so far this year? Am I growing as a person? Am I making progress toward the goals I set for myself two months ago? It’s so easy to live day-to-day in survival mode and let the weeks slip away without doing any of the things that really matter.”

Setting goals doesn’t work without accountability and reflection.

When you pursue anything new, you must have the courage to check in, account for where you are, and celebrate progress and new behaviors practiced as well as tell the truth about what is off track so you may begin again.

When it’s new, give yourself permission to be imperfect or you’ll likely give up.

Either way, you’re right.
