I often say we need to create space in order to have the space to create. Do you have the space you need?
I find mental space happens naturally for me when I spend time in nature. There are fewer distractions, which gives me the opportunity to turn inward and focus on observing myself. Being outside also provides new perspective, which is especially helpful when I’m making big decisions or solving issues.
Don’t just take my word for it – studies show that a few minutes in nature can improve short-term memory and restore mental energy. Even a brief walk around the block or sitting on your porch in the sun makes a difference.
Frequently, the best answers and solutions already reside within us, yet we can’t hear them because creating quiet space doesn’t feel productive. It is! How will you get outside to look inside today?
