Ah, what an interesting time it is to be alive in history. I can relate to the opening line, “it was the best of times, and the worst of times.” Truly, I believe it’s all good, yet sometimes my mind has to catch up to authentically reframe what looks like a challenge.
- Election years are predictable in many ways: people pause on spending, business reacts, things slow down, and it gets a bit chaotic. My response to all of it is a choice, opportunities abound as well. Don’t let fear keep you frozen.
- No matter what, the summer is always swift and too short. I love that we all make more time to gather outdoors, spend time with friends and family, and appreciate this brief season.
- Learning is both challenging and rewarding. True learning opens up new possibilities.
- Very few things move on my timetable; having patience during the summer is easier than in the thick of our busiest days.
- Investing in improving your home are dollars well spent. There’s nothing like looking forward to being at home and enjoying it fully.
- Sometimes big decisions are made quickly, and it works out beautifully. Even better than if you had planned it more thoroughly. Trust your gut.
- Dictating a blog is wonderful and different from truly typing out and writing out a blog. Seeing how my words get confused or rewritten gives me an opportunity to speak more clearly and rethink what I’m trying to say more simply.
- Though we’ve had an extraordinary amount of rain, I welcome it and appreciate how it fills our lakes, greens up all of nature, and grows amazing plants and flowers. I’m less appreciative of the increase of the insect world.
- When you can spontaneously connect with friends, go with the flow, and add a little music and creativity, you have the makings of a perfect evening with little to no effort.
- Knowing and appreciating your neighbors is the epicenter of community. It’s a blessing to be surrounded by people you call friends every day of your life. Remember to appreciate it and not take it for granted.
