There are two paths leaders can take. One is a mile wide and an inch deep or an inch wide and a mile deep.
Doing a little bit of a lot of things can be exciting, offering a variety of opportunities, like sampling from the buffet table of what could be possible. This approach can be instrumental in learning what you are uniquely gifted to do, beginning new things and staying creative.
Deciding to focus, zero in, and concentrate your efforts into a narrower channel is like becoming a laser beam – laser focused – on what you are uniquely gifted to do. It can exponentially increase your effectiveness, clarifying and simplifying what you do while creating increasing momentum.
Both paths work, but they do so in different ways and for different reasons.
