Slow Down. Find Out. #131

Slow Down. Find Out. #131

I’m an early riser.

Barring a series of days where I’m without enough sleep, my natural timing is to wake early. It’s the same with my family.

My husband is a night owl.

Barring a series of days where he’s without enough sleep, his natural timing is to stay awake into the wee hours of the night. It’s the same with his family.

Though either of us can extend our timing to accommodate the other, vacation seems to be the week where we reconcile our rhythms.

I’m up early savoring the magical stillness of the early morning, watching the sunrise, appreciating the quiet and appreciating the beginnings of a new day.

He’s up late, enjoying the solitude of the darkness, working, watching and enjoying the lack of distraction that comes with our shared hours.

When you find your natural groove, you’re more productive, there’s less effort and you will enjoy the ease of your natural tendencies. When I honor this rhythm, my days unfold with grace. How often do you honor your natural rhythm? Do you notice the difference in the ease of your days?

Slow down. Find out.
