7 Cardinal Rules in Life #610

by Sue Hawkes

I’m borrowing this from one of the wonderfully cheesy posts I’ve found over the year. I think it’s a good one. I’ve added my parenthetical comments below!

Here it is:

  1. Make peace with your past … so it won’t screw up the present. (My life’s journey)
  1. What others think of you … is none of your business. (This is a personal favorite)
  1. Time heals almost everything … give it time. (This is a personal challenge for me, I’m impatient)
  1. Don’t compare your life to others … and don’t judge them. You have no idea what their journey is all about. (And comparison is the thief of joy – thanks for the reminder, I’m working on this)
  1. Stop thinking too much … it’s alright not to know the answers. They will come to you when you least expect it. (I love this one!)
  1. No one is in charge … of your happiness, except you. (Lest I forget…)
  1. Smile … you don’t own all the problems in the world. (Thank goodness, reset and begin again)
