This quote says it all. It makes you smile, and it stings at the same time.
If you’re used to propping people up, being there for others, doing whatever it takes to help, lending an ear, a dollar (or many), your time and effort, this resonates.
I was in a room full of successful lady bosses recently when Dr. Joi dropped this (and many other) truth bombs. It felt good to be in a crowd full of highly accomplished leaders who related to this statement.
When you recognize yourself in the mirror someone is holding up, take a good look.
