You Need Issues #1217

by Sue Hawkes

When I work with my EOS® clients, they sometimes become discouraged by having too many issues in their business. This is normal, and I frequently say, “every successful company has issues!”

Having issues in your business is not a bad thing; in fact, it’s a sign of growth and evolution. Issues are the hurdles, obstacles, and opportunities that slow you down or get in your way, and of course they’ll multiply when you’re innovating or scaling.

Recognizing and addressing these issues head-on is what propels your business forward. Issues serve as catalysts for change, encouraging us to improve, innovate, and adapt. They also reveal areas that require attention, and when acknowledged, they can be transformed into opportunities for growth and efficiency. Issues don’t sound so bad now, right?

When looked at through a lens of curiosity instead of discouragement or fear, issues are the feedback we need to improve our businesses. It’s critical, however, that we also solve them the first time they arise – before they become fully grown problems. Watching our issues list pile up and putting our heads in the sand is no way to lead. Taking the time to identify, discuss, and solve issues is what makes the business grow.

Will you take the leap and solve your issues head on? Learn how to solve issues effectively in this episode of the EOS Strong in Six podcast. I’ll walk you through the steps, and by the end of the episode, you’ll be grateful to have issues and the growth they provide.
