“Life is a one-time offer. Use it well.”
It’s an interesting process, aging, and this quote speaks to that. You can’t slow it down, it’s happening. Yet until there are life events, health events, and all the things reminding you of life’s pricelessness, many of us live as if we have time later.
When I consider life expectancy, according to Google, it’s somewhere in the mid to late 70s, though it’s declining in the US.
When I use that for perspective, my timetable shortens and requires me to think in minutes and hours relative to how I spend time. After all, our oldest two kids are nearing the halfway mark.
For me, it ensures I care about my minutes and hours with greater perspective.
Time is life. Wasting time is wasting life.
